What a great weekend we had! Friday night the girls watch movies in their room with popcorn while we watched Harry Potter. (They are still a little young for Harry Potter) Then Saturday we went out to eat at Mellow Mushroom with the whole family and one of Heather's (my stepdaughter and the girls big sister) friend. After lunch we went looking for a new dog since we lost our last doggie to liver problems. We still miss her but there has been a void at our house. We all missed having a dog around. So we went looking for a new dog and just happened to find a wonderful dog! She stuck out for us immediately because she was the only dog there who was not barking or jumping on the gate. We got to take her out and about and get to know her and we all just fell in love with her. She is actually a tornado survivor dog from the April 27th tornados that came through Alabama. Soon after we adopted her and thanks to my best friend Hilary we got her home within a couple hours.
We let her loose in the backyard and she ran like she was in heaven. She ran all over the backyard and played with us and just explored around. We stayed outside with her first to make sure she felt comfortable and then let the girls out and she is just so gently and loving with us as well as all the girls. She is even gentle when taking a treat out of our hands. She is so calm and loving. She barely barks and she listens very well. The girls absolutely love her.
Then today after playing with the new doggie we went to lunch and then we went to see Puss in Boots at the movie theater. It was Abrial's very first time seeing a movie in the theater and she did fantastic! You could tell Madyssen had a little bit of a hard time sitting still but she did great! And I had Abrial's headphones just in case the movies was too loud but she didn't ask for them once. She loved every minute of the movie. I was so proud! I have been putting off the movies for so long because I was worried about her reaction to it but she loved it! The minute she saw the screen her mouth dropped. It was the cutest thing ever!
Now we are all relaxing and getting ready for our week ahead. The girls had a great weekend and this mama is exhausted. :-)
